Hi,

I have a Archer AX73 as main router and have a good 1Gb/s UTP network to 3 Gb switches in different wings of the house. I wonder if I could use 3x RE605X extenders in AP mode, using the UTP network as backbone and still benefit from TP-OneMesh. Would I get a higher throughput because I use the UTP as backbone?

Thanks, Eric

Hello @eric116

Currenltly AP mode (RE wired to router) could not enjoy the benefit of OneMesh, we started a feature request thread for ability, you could upvote or leave your comments there if you require the same feature. [Range Extender Feature Request] OneMesh Supports Ethernet Backhaul https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/500188

But that would be a long-term plan and what models will be supported are still unclear, if you wish to build a Mesh system, you may look for other mesh options like Deco Mesh system mentioned on the above thread.
