I want to use my Archer MR400 LTE to access from WAN network to my servers located in my LAN, behind the MR400.
I used the DynDNS page to declare and connect to my NoIP account.
All seems ok ...
But I can't connect to my servers by using the hostname defined in NoIP.
I find that NoIP gives an IP address which is not the same as the one given by MR400 page in internet data.
Which one is true ?
How to solve this difference ?

Hi,

 

Unfortunately, most mobile network providers nowadays don't assign public IPv4 addresses to their clients anymore. Instead they have placed a piece of hardware between the actual Internet and their customers (i.e. users) that behaves similar to your home router, which performs a Network Address Translation (NAT) between public IP addresses and so-called private IP addresses. This makes it impossible to directly connect to your home equipment from the Internet.

 

Private IPv4 addresses are IP addresses that fall within any the following ranges:

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.255

 

If that's the case, then contact your mobile provider and ask them if they can assign a public IPv4 address to your mobile connection. There are some mobile providers that do still offer this.
