I'm not sure about my hardware version. I just purchased these new. Are there any less than advertised features, easter eggs, etc. I just thought I'd ask. I see the parental controls and such. I just wondered if there was more.
@Oldmanveo on a serious note, how secure are these? Could someone just hit the reset button and take control over them?

Do you see any advertised feature which is missed on the Deco APP?
As for the security level, I am not sure if there is a common standard for that.
But it does have its firewall and antivirus system to protect connected devices.
Basically, almost all the network products will have a hardware reset switch to restore the units to factory default.
Reset will only delete your current network configurations and it is far away from taking control over the units.

@TP-Link I don't see any firewall or antivirus options or mentions in the app. The app I have is version 2.10.3 and jst called Deco.
