Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.2

I have a mixed system of M5s and M9s.

The M5s have just today updated to 1.5.2 and my unit in the kitchen is now showing as connected via Ethernet. But none of the units are connected to each other via Ethernet. The kitchen deco IS connected to a Sky Q mini box via Ethernet.

The internet speed in this room has dropped to less than 5mbps, when until the update/before it was showing as connected via Ethernet was over 100 mbps.

I can't work out what's happening/why it is suddenly thinking it's connected to another unit via Ethernet?

how do I fix this?

@hitmanuk2k

Hi, thank you very much for your feedback.

Your case is quite unusual and very valuable for us.

Could you please help me get the following information:

1. A screenshot of the signal source on the kitchen Deco.

2. if unplugging the Sky Q mini box, will the backhaul change to 2.4ghz/5ghz?

3. as for the speed, were you trying to say before the 1.5.2 update, the kitchen Deco was on wireless backhaul and the speed was about 100m/s; now after the firmware upgrade, it is on Ethernet backhaul and the speed drops to 5m/s?

And I see under your TP-Link ID that some of Deco M5 are on 1.5.7, others on 1.5.3, have you tried to update the kitchen Deco to be 1.5.7 as well to have a look?
