Hi, i need to change my old router and im looking for new one from TP-Link.

Im think about AX23 or C80.

It will be connected with my Two Deco M4 and i want make any configuration of my mesh on router that i will buy.

In router i want have option to add devices with my own name to static IP (some devices dont have host name, so in most routers it will show like unkown).

So, which router i shoud take ?

@Bullseye105

Hi, welcome to the community.

First I see that both Archer AX23 and C80 are OneMesh routers, in case you are considering using them to create a Mesh with Deco.

It would be better to know at first that they are different and could not build up the same Mesh network together:

TP-Link OneMesh™ VS Deco Mesh: What's the Difference?

But they could as a normal router with Deco to extend your home network.

For both AX23 and C80, they support customizing the device name for online devices and address reservation if you want the same devices already to get the same IP address.

So they are in a tie.

Considering you already have Deco M4 which is only Wi-Fi 5, Archer C80 would be more competitive than AX23 which is Wi-Fi 6.

But if you are quite interested in Wi-Fi 6, Archer AX23 would also be good, or you could have a look at Wi-Fi 6 Deco models, such as Deco X90/X60/X20 which could create the same Mesh with the existing M4:

Can different Deco models work together?

Thank you very much.
