Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.7 Build 20210819 Ref. 43499

Hello,

I just buyed and installed and updated Deco M5 because of the many home work and video calls with interruptions in my workingplace.

And I just analyzed the Wi-Fi channel.

2.4 Ghz is now on channel 4   (the original router is on 1)

5Ghz is on channel 36.

2.4 Ghz should be on 1, 6 or 11. Everyone knows that. Not on channel 4. That's a channel with a particularly large amount of overlap and interference.

5Ghz is on a correct channel, but very busy in my neighborhood.

So, I want to change this channels, as I would with my regular router.
So, I logged into the ip address of the Deco, and it doesn't go!!!

I read here on the forum that this is NOT POSSIBLE ????!  WTF.

Why did I buy this expensive Deco, to have good Wi-Fi everywhere in my house.

Not to have unstable Wi-Fi because of a wrong channel.

Please fix this!
Please don't give a standard answer that the engineers are working hard
It should have been fixed by now, judging by the responses.

I am so incredibly disappointed :-(

@Dibke

Hi,

On the Deco APP, there is a feature called “network optimization”  which could automatically adjust the 2.4ghz channel.

Please try to optimize the network first.

As for the channel, it did not support manually changing the wireless channel yet.

If you are kind to provide more details about your unstable wireless network and how you find it is related to the channels, I would be glad to forward your case to the senior engineers for further assistance.

Thank you very much.
