Firmware Version: 1.4.3

HI, I have 1 DECO X20 as main deco, then a DECO M4R as satellite. The M4R deco keep disconnect (LED changes to Red) in few minutes then it will reconnect back in few seconds. Causing when i streaming video the video suddenly buffering. I tried use an ethernet cable to use ethernet backhaul, but the M4R still same problem. Please help.

 

X20 firmware: 1.1.3

M4R firmware: 1.4.3 (Show as latest firmware in deco app)

Hi, I see one of the Deco M4 is still on 1.4.3 while the other is on 1.5.2.

Maybe you could update the other satellite to the latest 1.5.2 firmware as well.

Deco M4-v1-1.5.2

How to Update the Firmware of Deco (method 2 and the IP of satellite Deco could be found on the Deco APP.)

And since you have two Deco M4 units, did both of them have the same issue?—maybe you could swap the location of these two M4 to have a test.

 

Later I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers, and could you please help me check the following information as well:

1. May I know who is your internet service provider and what internet connection type did you set up dynamic IP or PPPoE?

2. How often did the connection drop out on Deco M4?

Hi TP-LINK, I have 1 Deco X20 and 2 Deco M4, but i only use 1 Deco X20 and 1 Deco M4. Currently i updated the M4 to 1.5.2 looks like the connection are stable now, i will report here if the problem came back. Below is the information you request. 1. TMNET UNIFI , Connection type PPPOE 2. Connection drop every 2 to 3 minutes.
