Loosing connection between m9 mesh points
I'm having issues with my phone, that will loose connection when moved from one room to another, and switches from one Deco to another.
On my Oneplus 6 running Android 11, the problem shows like this:
- The wireless works fine in one room.
- When I move to another room, and I can see on my Deco App that I connect to another Deco, I loose internet.
- After a few seconds, and exclamation-mark shows up next to the WiFi icon on my phone to show that something is wrong. I have zero access to the internet at this point.
Weird thing is, on my phone, it didn't happen until I upgraded to Android 11. There was no issue when I was a version 10. My girlfriend has had version 11, and thinks she's had the issue for a while, but is a bit unclear about it.
Info on my network:
- 2 TP-link M9. One is the main, the other one is just part of the mesh
- I have a router/modem in bridged mode, and my main Deco is physically connected to this.
- Both Version 1.5.1 build 202110126 Rel. 59387
- Dynamic IPv6 and IPv4
- They are in rooms next to each other, so there is probably quite and overlap in the wireless connections, but my devices are pretty good at switching to the strongest source.
I can fix the issue by turning the wifi off and on on my phone, but it's pretty annoying in the long run having to do that every time I move from one room to the other.
I have naturally tried:
- Turning everything off and on
- Made a reset on both Decos
It has been a problem for quite a while, at least since october 2021. I have followed this post a bit, where others seem to be reporting the exact same issue: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/189398?replyId=1005516
I can gather some logs if needed, but let me know how much and which ones you want. And where to send them so I don't need to upload them here in the open.
