Modem/Routers stopped working after electrical storm
Hi,
Model Nos:
TD-W8951ND(IT)
TD-W896ON(IT)
We have two modem Modem/routers that were working fine but stopped working after a thunderstorm. No LEDs light up, they appear dead.
They were located on the top floor and bottom floor of a 5-storey home connected by a CAT-5 Cable. Only one was connected to the external the telephone socket (DSL). They were using the supplied power supplies.
It seems strange that they both stopped working at same time. There wasn't a ighting strike on the house and all other electrically connected devices in the home at the time (multiple TVs, DVD, game console, etc) were unaffected. In fact none of the main electrcal circuit switches tripped.
Are TP-Link modem/rodems known to be ultra sensitive to electrical storms? Or is this a power supply issue? Again seems very strange they both went down at same time.
Thanks in advance
