Hi, I wonder if someone could help me with my query. I tried connecting all three deco's up using ethernet backhaul using powerlines. My issue is that I when I do this the satellites give me a lot less speed (nearly half) than when using the wireless backhaul. The speed at the router isn't affected! Where am I going wrong?

Hi, is your network layout like：

ISP—Main Deco X20----master PLC~~~~extender PLC—Deco X20

I tend to think the speed was capped by the powerline adapters.

Do you have any wired laptop so that you could remove the satellite Deco X20 and plug the computer to test how much speed you could get from the powerline?

That is how my setup is.

 

I've just connected my laptop to the powerline and you are spot on, the speed is being capped by the powerline.

 

Why would this be? It's a tp link powerline with a gigabit port.

May I know the model number of your powerline adapters?

Have you downloaded the power line utility on the laptop which would display the powerline rate between adapters?

Can you also give me the detailed speedtest result from Deco and adapters for further analysis?
