@Sunshine cool! Do you have a SKU? So I don't order the current gen2 that I have :)

@Namann1 I am now looking at both Archer MR500 and archer mr600 but cannot see if the mr500 is a downgrade, upgrade or side step. It is £10 more for the MR500 but not sure if its worth it.

@Biobob did you see this previous post by Sunshine?

It indicated that there is a V3 version of the MR600 on the way. It does not yet appear to be on the UK website but it does appear to be on the global English website.

@bigbayer I saw the previous post and also looked for a V3 with no luck, I tried a livechat with tplink to see if the 500 is worth the extra £10 but after 15 minutes as 1st in the queue I gave up as nobody seems to be manning it. So no further forward why they have made an almost identical specified product that costs more with no indication on what if anything has improved.

@Biobob I asked a question about the MR600 V3 availability in the UK on here a while back and was told to watch the retail sites. I've been watching but nothing so far. That said if a Black Friday deal comes up on the MR500 that's attractive enough I'll probably just go for it.

@Biobob unless you really want to use a nano SIM rather than a micro SIM, I would choose the MR600 V2 (or V3 if you can find it) if you can get it cheaper than MR500. Are you in UK, Ireland or somewhere else?
Looking back through this thread, I can see that MR500 doesn't/didn't support WPA3 or IPSec VPN. TP-Link's model numbering always suggested to me that the MR500 would be a step below the MR600, even if only a small step.
I bought an MR600 V2. I have no regrets other than I could have got an MR500 quite a bit cheaper if I had waited for it to become available, which it wasn't when I got the MR600 V2. But now, strangely, MR500 seems to be more expensive than MR600 V2 so that's no longer a plus point for the MR500 - not unless price comes down again.
Regarding MR600 V3, this person says they have managed to get hold of a V3, so anybody interested might want to enquite with them as to where they got it from.
