I certainly hope so. After about 2 weeks, my system gets so unstable. Rebooting it is a chore. This system has been a pain.

@Jayva most of my devices are randomly disconnecting from X90. And I bought X90 because of the signal issues with M9 Plus and I bought M9 Plus because of the speed issues of M4R.
Not sure there is a normally supported Deco which can do all basic tasks that a router needs to do.
So - Expect firmware update next year - 2023

Same here. I have three x90 connecting 22-26 devices, 6 are wired while others are wireless. 5 IKEA speakers connect via Wi-Fi always disconnect. EZVIZ door bell has the same issue. Actually the whole 2.4GHz network has been very unstable. Not really a plesent experience compare to previous Netgear AC mesh set.

Hi, if you are asking about the firmware release plan, there would be no news about it since the technical support would not be informed either in advance unless the firmware has been released already.
But you could always report here whether you had any issues with the current firmware. so that we could check with the engineers for further assistance.
@ronaldkclai For your current issue, May I know how many smart devices are on 2.4ghz and except for IKEA speakers and EZVIZ door bell, do you have other models?
Have you tried to turn off the fast roaming/beamforming as well as "Mesh technology" on these devices?

My Deco X90 network has about 90 devices on it total between my guest and main networks. I have most of my IoT (including 28 TP-link Kasa switches) on the secondary guest network that is only broadcasting 2.5G channel (no 5G enabled there). I have a main network with both 2.5 and 5G enabled. I originally had everything on my main network and the network would crash and kick devices off the network constantly. I get 1 gig cable internet and with other routers, I can see 800-900 mbps wireless. With Deco X90, I get 400-500 mbps max.
I have the 2 pack and I have swapped each unit for the main deco several times, so my issues aren't related to a single unit.
I have put a lot, I mean a LOT, of time into trouble shooting my network issues and I believe the Deco X90 units have a number of problems. I have borrowed other routers from my IT guy at work and setup my network with those other devices as a test case to compare, the Deco X90 still fails in many ways. The Deco X90 has the following issues.
1. the gigabit wired switch internal only really delivers about 200-300 mbps instead of reaching 1000 mbps like it should. I have my modem connection to the 2.5 Gbp port and then an ethernet out of the 1 Gbp port to a computer. Other routers will delivered the wired speed through the switch they claim. So the switch function internal to the Deco X90 units is failing to deliver proper switch speeds.
2. After about 12 hours, the network will become unstable and devices will start getting dropped off the network and are no longer online. After 2 days, some will pop back online, and then others fall off network. I have to restart the Deco units 3x per week to keep them running "ok".
3. Deco X90 does not push any devices to the unused channels on the 2.5G spectrum. 11 is just empty and it will not push any devices up into those channels.
4. The software is really remedial and I get that it's probably better for most that way, but to advertise that you can handle up to 200 devices is a farce. There really should be a way to use the Omada software capabilities on this system. Or at least allow better channel selection for devices.
I've tried turning off roaming, and beam forming, and all that stuff. Nothing fixes the above problems. My only way out for the foreseeable future will be to go to an actual enterprise system. This shouldn't be necessary, but the X90 is not performing as it should or as it was advertised. So yes, it needs firmware love and updates to address its stability. Maybe increase its cache? dump cache more frequently? Allow an auto reboot option? Allow channel selection for 2.5G devices? Allow a 3rd SSID to be broadcast and allow the bandwidth to be metered for that....perhaps for only IoT switches and other "smart" appliances?

- Withings scale
- HP Color Laser MFP
- Windows Surface RT
- Mi Air Purifier
I have Fast Roaming always disabled. Haven't tried turning off "Beamforming" cause that's the point I updated to AX. Not tried turning off "Mesh technology" too cause these devices are scattered around the place. That's the point to use a mesh router, isn't it? I used a TP-Link AX90 for a few months after I quit the original Netgear AC mesh. Obviously the AX90 couldn't reach everything so I switched to X90 x3 hoping to improve.

@mmark27 I also have a 1Gb connection and face the similar speed issue here:
- straight out of the modem = 930Mbps
- through the master X90 unit, wired = 600 Mbps
- through the master X90 unit, wireless, tested right next to the unit = 400-450 Mbps
- through the slave X90 unit, 5m apart, wired to the slave = 300-350 Mbps
- through the slave X90 unit, 5m apart, wireless, tested right next to the slave = 200-250 Mbps
All readings are collected from the same laptop with 5GHz AX or 1Gb Ethernet, cat 5e cables, same test program, same settings. Does this sound right?

These two features have been submitted to the engineers already and so far no news from them.

As for the speed issue, did you test both the Ethernet and wireless connection?
Can I have some screenshots of the speed test as well as the link speed?

And may I know the model number of the devices that you used for test?
For the unstable issue, Did all the mobile devices randomly disconnect from internet or they are mainly IOT devices? and can I have the model numbers as well?

The Deco model is Deco-X90
I used both wired Ethernet connected right to modem high Mbps download. Wired Ethernet through the router 200-300 Mbps. Wireless speed test was 400-500 maximum.
I tested this with a new laptop and with my Galaxy S21 Ultra phone using the speedtest . net app as well as fast. com and the FCC speedtest app.
I tested these with both the X90 and the Netgear Nighthawk router. I don't have saved screenshots but could replicate the ones from the X90. I assure you that I tested each appropriately many times over.
The devices that lose connection are random. Light switches, Chromecast devices, Google home speakers. Most IoT devices. Not all are on the 2.5G network either.
I hope some of this helps, I will gladly collect logs or whatever is needed if your technical team needs more data.
