Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.10.0 Build 210716 Rel. 51301n (4555)

Hello :)

A Fritzbox 7530 AX is in use and this establishes the Internet connection. This runs without problems.

In another room is the TP-Link Archer C80. This is in WDS mode and establishes the connection to the Fritzbox. A PC is connected to the TP-Link via LAN.

Problem:
The TP-Link loses the WDS connection to the Fritzbox. A restart is not enough to restore this, but I have to rename the SSID of the Fritzbox and rename it back to the old one; only then does the TP-Link find the WiFi signal again.
In the TP-Link in the WDS settings, the WiFi signal simply disappeared. Other devices remain normally connected to the Fritzbox (smartphones, TV, notebooks).

This applies to 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz in WDS mode.

Does anyone have any advice on what the problem with the TP-Link could be? Firmware is up to date. DHCP disabled.

thanks :)

@SubLexx

Is the wireless channel on the Fritzbox 7530 AX a specific one? Please choose one with less interference with others around you, then monitor again. Since the C80 is in another room, I would also suggest trying to build up the WDS connection via 2.4G instead of 5G.

Please also bear in mind that WDS may be incompatible between different products (even occasionally from the same vendor) since the IEEE 802.11-1999 standard does not define how to construct any such implementations or how stations interact to arrange for exchanging frames of this format as stated here.
