Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20211231 rel.63562(5553)

Archer AX21 V3 in AP mode

Guest Network configurations require a shared passcode, even though it allows different SSIDs.  I have an AX21 V1.2 as the core router which allows each guest SSID to have it's own passcode. Is this change permanent?

Thanks

K

Hello @privateflyer05,

Do you mean the Guest Network on the AX21 V3 doesn't allow to set up a different password from the main network? Can you post a screenshot of the Guest Network settings?

Do you also own an AX21 v1.20? You can create a separate network name and password for the Guest Network on that version? Can you also post a screenshot of it?

  @Kevin_Z

My original intent was to have different guest network SSIDs on each radio, with it's own unique passcode. I have done this with other manufacturers. The web gui seems to require both radios to use the same passcode, see the pic attached ...

Thank You

Kevin

@privateflyer05

As far as I can understand, the Guest Network settings on both V3 and V1.2 should be the same, the 2.4G and 5G Guest networks share the same wireless password, this is for the convenience that when the client devices switch between the two networks.

We will pay attention to this kind of request if it is possible to create a unique password for the two networks. Thank you for your attention and feedback.
