What is the model of your TP-Link device? Be sure it does support the Tether app, and below is the Tether Compatibility List:

If your TP-Link device does support the Tether app, please go through the troubleshooting suggestions below to confirm all the basic settings:

What if Tether cannot detect my TP-Link product in the “Device” Page?

 

If you have checked all the settings as we suggested in the above article but the Tether app still cannot find the router, please tell us the below information, and we will confirm:

1. Hardware version and firmware version of the TP-Link device. You can find the hardware version on the router bottom label, and the firmware version can be found on the router web GUI:

2. OS version of the phone that runs the Tether app.

3. MAC address of the TP-Link device (you can provide this via PM).
