Nodes not meshing properly and will only mesh together via 2.4. 5GHz doesn't work (M4 ISP versions)
No matter how many times I default these nodes and set it up from scratch they will not connect to each other properly. It seems like no matter where you put the non internet fed nodes they all connect to the internet fed node rather than meshing to the closer node. Also, they will only connect to eachother on othe 2.4 band and never on the 5GHz. When installing these at a customer's house using the ISP version app we can't adjust channel's without loging in to the controler via web browser. Everything run's on auto. The app has the optimizer, but I'm not sure if it's doing anything. You can run it once every 7 trys in 30 min time period and it never helps. Not only do the nodes not connect to each other using the 5GHz band, but no devices will connect either when turning off the 2.4GHz band. I've set up probably 15 different homes and this is the second time these things just don't work at all, but a cheap router ends up replacing them with no issues. I've tried 5 different nodes with all the same problem. Makes me wonder if it's the Firmware update, or the ISP version equipment mixed with app/controler. Also, sometimes only one device will update firmware and it will say the whole system is up to date when it's not. Sometimes it will say another device needs an update, but when you click for the update it says it's up to date. You do this process 4-5 times and then it will push the update finally...
If anyone has any ideas that would be greatly appriciated.
