Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210914 Rel.59719n

Hello,

I'm experiencing issues regarding SMS reception on the TP-link MR600v2.
I can send SMS without any issue, but i can't receive SMS.


This is not a similar issue like on the MR600v1, where SMS get received (SMS numbers grows up, on the Basic tab) but cannot be read. (And for which, you develloped 3 Beta Firmwares)


It's simply, no matter how many SMS i send from another device, the MR600 doesn't receive anything. Message numbers stays at 0.
SMS Sent are shown in the outbox, but nothing in the Inbox.

 

No issue get logged no matter what level is selected.


I tried :

- Selecting defaults APN profiles.
- Creating custom APN Profile (Data copied from a phone, same phone carrier).
- Factory reset.
- Firmware downgrade (not permited, get error).
- Firmware upload (same version 1.5.0, in case previous firmware upgrade got corrupted).
- ISP file up to date (21082501).
- Setting Carrier's message center number (33660003000).


None of the above restored a working SMS fonction, and the issue is still present.


Do you have any solution, new steps i could try for solving the issue ?
Is there any Firmware (Beta maybe ?) you released for the MR600v2 i could try (couldn't find some) ?

I only found firmware for the v1 H/W variant, and for what i've seen it not compatible with the V2.

Please send an email with Subject "Forum 556948" to support.forum@tp-link.com and provide the following information, our engineer will follow up your case to find the cause and solution:

1. Was the SMS receiving working fine before on MR600 V2 with this Bouygues SIM card?

2. If you insert the same Bouygues SIM card into another 4G device or smartphone, will it be able to receive the SMS messages?

3. if the problem only happens on MR600 V2, please insert the SIM back into MR600 V2, then use another device like smartphone to send a SMS message to MR600 V2, then save a system log file on MR600 V2 and send it to us.

4. If you reset the MR600 to factory defaults, will you be able to receive any SMS messages?
