Hi everyone

Having some issues setting up the X20-DSL with internode.  specifically getting it to authenticate.

Tried setting up the connection using a TP-Link TD-W9970 VDSL modem. Just followed the wizard and popped in the username/password and it works fine.

on the Deco it gets line sync but never authenticates.

So i took the X20-DSL and tried with Telstra and Aussie broadband that does not use PPPOE to authenticate and it just works.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a way around it?  At this stage i am planning a move to a new ISP to rectify the issue.

Cheers

Hi, welcome to the community.

For the internode broadband connection, except for the PPPOE authentication, do you also need VLAN ID/internet ID?

Hi David,

have tried with vlan off and on,  it should be off because it is an older internode account.

After contacting the internode help desk this is the setting they supplied

Cheer.

1. Connect up as standard for VDSL.
2. Login to router using 192.168.1.1
3. Go to advanced at the top.
4. Network on the left.
5. DSL under Network.
6. DELETE all networks
7. Add new connection.
8. Select VDSL
9. Change username and password details.
10. Save.

Service should connect reasonably quick.

NBN Username: ******@internode on net
Authentication Type: PPPoE
Authentication Method: CHAP or PAP
Connection Type: VDSL2 Annex B with Vectoring
VLAN should be disabled
