Wr902ac not seeing iphone 13 in ap list

I purchased AC750 Travel Router TL-WR902AC hoping to use it to extend my iphone 13 hotspot so wired and other devices can use it. When trying all setup options the iphone does not show up in available AP list. Is there a way to enter it manually somewhere or other way to configure this? Am I mistaken that this can work? I am fairly experienced in IT and networking.
