Recently I upgraded to TP-Link Archer AX11000 router and Intel AX210 Wi-Fi card. The router’s model and firmware version.

Having unpacked the router, the first thing I did was I checked for firmware updates and then I performed factory restore for a good measure.

 

I have a 200 mbps Up/Down connection from my ISP. It possible to achieve this speed using the router’s in-built speed tester.

However, the wireless Down/Up speed is much lower.

Here are the Wireless settings.

I should also mention that OneMesh together with Guest Networks are disabled. Both channels (60 for the 5Ghz-1 and 124 for the 5Ghz-2) are uncongested.

The router is located approximately 4 meters from the PC un there are no obstacles between the two devices. I also tried the Smart Connect mode but it didn’t improve the connection speed at all.

Please check and ensure the driver version for the AX210 is up-to-date, then let me know what is the exact version, thank you.

 

Please check and confirm if this AX210 is connected to the 5G network. You may try disabling Smart Connect on the AX11000, then create different wireless network names for the three networks to distinguish them.

 

BTW, are there other Wi-Fi 6 / AX devices that can connect to the AX11000 network to check the actual speed?

Intel AX210 drivers.

Just one device is connected to the router for testing purposes.

The AX210 has the very latest drivers available from Intel (on their site).

As you can se from the screenshots above, the PC (and its AX210 card) is connected to the 5G-1 network. And I would like to emphasize that only one device is connected to the router during speed tests.

I tried another PC (also equipped with the AX210 card), and the results were similar. Max upload speed is somewhere around 70-80 mbps. Even the download speed does not reach 200 mbps.
