Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 build 20220317 rel.50456(4555)

Hi everyone. 3 days ago I bought new router to my home network. Router is connected via LAN to internet provider router (provider router has turn off wifi).

Both (2.4ghz and 5ghz) wireless turn on Archer AX73.

2.4ghz using about 8 devices (like smart plugs, online cameras, weather stations etc)

5ghz using about 5 devices (some TVs, Iphones, laptops)

and 2 devices connected via LAN.

Smart setting for wireless is active.

Issue -> Everyday from last 3 days I noticed problems with disconnecting all devices from 2.4ghz.

5ghz working fine, LAN devices OK - but all of 2.4ghz devices lost network and I cannot connect it without turn on/off 2.4 ghz. How to fix it ?

Hello @PrzemekPL

Hello, thank you for asking the community.

Regarding the 2.4G disconnection issue, try changing the 2.4G wireless security to WPA2-PSK, AES, and choosing the wireless mode to 802.11a/n/ac mixed instead of 802.11 a/n/ac/ax mixed, then monitor again.

You may also check this article to review and modify the other wireless settings or interference.

  @Kevin_Z Thank you for your support.

Ok done, changed from WPA2-PSK[AES]+WPA-PSK[TKIP] to WPA2-PSK[AES]

To change this setting I need turn off Smart Connect (should I?).

After turn off Smart:

802.11 ax only

802.11 b/g/n mixed

802.11 b/g/n/ax mixed (set as default)

So which one ?

Channels set to differ from other nearby networks (I have access to them).

@PrzemekPL

You may monitor the connectivity first with the wireless security WPA2-PSK, AES.

If the issue persists, please try to change the mode to 802.11 b/g/n mixed, then monitor again.

Eh there is some problem... My Cameras working only with WPA Security. When I changed it to WPA2 only then cameras stopped working.

Why, if the device (Archer AX73) has a WPA security option, it is better not to use it because it may disrupt the devices?

@PrzemekPL

I understand that some old devices may only support WPA security, but that is less secure and it's not suggested.

Can I know what is the brand and model of the camera?

BTW, what are the security options on the AX73? Can I have a screenshot? If there is still an option for WPA without TKIP, you can give it a try.

I understand too but not suggested and not working at all it's different.

It's some polish products, Orllo Goodcams Z6. It's worked 2 years with Huawei router without any problem.

I had to change to WPA + WPA2 because of the cameras and at 7am again I noticed no devices on the 2.4ghz network.

@PrzemekPL

Thank you for getting back. If the issue persists when the security is WPA2-PSK[AES]+WPA-PSK[TKIP], I would like to escalate the case to our support engineers, who would contact you via your registered email to follow it up and provide a solution.

  @Kevin_Z

I have since a few weeks the same problem as the topicstarter.

Once every (other) day, or one day it was even twice, all the devices (around 11) on 2.4GHz lose the connection.

Reconnecting is not possible, so I have to restart the router (or change a wifi setting, so it restarts only the wifi).

I tried all your suggestions, but everything gave the same result and didn't work.

Any other suggestions?

@mortael Is your AX73 also working as AP mode?

What are the wireless security settings on the AX73 for the 2.4G network? Please post a screenshot after masking the SSID and password. Try changing the mode for the 2.4G network from "802.11b/g/n/ax mixed" to "802.11b/g/n". Thanks.

What are the devices that connect to the 2.4G network also? Are they connecting to other 2.4G networks without an issue?
