Firmware Version:

Hi,

Just replaced my TP Link VR600 to DECO X20 DSL and trying to set up the port forwarding which do not work anymore for me for some reason.

Some background:

  • Have an ISP static IP
  • Made address reservation of the internal IP
  • Setup port forwarding for the same port that worked before the replacement
  • Protocol is set for All
  • UPNP enabled
  •

In the Deco there isn’t a DMZ function (which was configured in the VR600)

Would appreciate your assistance advising me what I am missing in my setup.

Thanks

  @Uri5260

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

It is suggested to refer to this link to do some troubleshooting first, such as turning off the UPnP on the APP/ disabling the firewall settings on the alarm system if there are any.

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/98900

Please also check whether the IPV4 is a public IP address. I see you used VR600 on the same connection before and it should be a public IP, but it does no harm if you could check it again.

 Please let me know if any suggestions worked or not.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

- my alarms system do not have a firewall.

- tried the UPnp - doesn't help

- my IP is Public

- went over the troubleshooting list - doesnt help.

Can comment that I can connect the port and alarm system as long I am in the wifi network but not from outside

Additionally tried to open some other ports, such as 80, 110 without success.
