Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20220524 rel.51659(4555)

Hello,

I have a 1TB Samsung SSD connected via USB3.0 port.

SSD's, by default consume less power compared to normal hard-drives, so I would think power source would not be a problem.

Tried also deactivating Media Sharing & also the Secure Sharing options. Same result.

Some sample of logs below (there are like hundreds of below lines):

hey team,

the drive physical size is: SSD 2.5''; formatted as NTFS.

So I discovered the problem. I was keeping my drive, right on top of the router, and I read on another thread about USB vs 2.4GHz WiFi which are operating around same frequency therefore conflicting with each other.

After I placed the drive below the router (about 20cm) everything is fine.

thanks

What do you mean the USB drive keeps disconnecting? Does it keep showing unrecognized by the router? If that's the case, how did you recover the USB connection? Do you need to unplug it from the router or reboot the router to get the USB connection back?

What is the format of the USB drive? Please try to format it into NTFS or FAT32, then determine if it will make a difference.

Do you have any other USB drive can be used to do a comparison test? Does it work well?

@mihaidumitru

Thank you very much for sharing the great finding and it's great to hear that the issue gets resolved by relocating the USB drive and moving it further away from the router.yes
