Mixing Deco X20-DSL with AX-1500 Router
Hi
I mistakenly bought an AX-1500 Router that I thought had ADSL/VDSL capabiliies.
I already shelled out for it and the shop won't return it. I thought about changing the stock adsl modem my isp provides by buying a TP Link VDSL/ADSL Modem so I can create a sort of Mesh network.
Having said that, I read that Deco Mesh and One Mesh devices don't work together.
But given my router is AX and I don't see any OneMesh modems that are AX (WIFI 6 speeds). I am wondering if I can use the Deco X20-DSL and just use my AX-1500 as a wireless access point to expand the wifi (instead of using a repeater/extender). No I'm not looking to purchase more Deco devices to create a deco mesh network. I'm just wondering given that set up, will it work?
Deco x20 DSL as main modem
AX-1500 Router placed in another area of the house to expand wifi range.
Worst case scenario, I think i'll be stuck with the TP LINK VR2100 (AC) and my AX 1500 router but without taking advantage of the full capacity of the AX.
right?
