Hello,

 

I have a new TD-W9970 v4 modem router.

I set it up in bridge mode, connected to a Tp link Archer c80 router.

The internet connection disconnect after a while (could be after a few hours, or 2 days),

and i need to restart the Td-w9970 modem so it will connect again.

I am with the latest firmware version 220616.

 

With the internet provider modem, it's working ok, so it's something with the tp link modem.

 

Can anyone please advise what can i check, or maybe there is another firmware version i can try?

  @gingel 

Hi, I think TD-W9970 might have bad compatibility with your internet service provider.

May I know who is your internet service provider?

Would the DSL light on 9970 keep flashing or turn off during the disconnection?

Some suggestions you could try:

1. Enable Bit swap and SRA under Advanced>Network>DSL settings.

 

My other advice would be to leave 9970 aside and stick to the ISP modem since when 9970 is in bridge mode, it works with no difference from the ISP modem.

Thank you for the reply.

 

My internet provider is Bezeq (I'm from Israel).

 

During the disconnection the DSL light is on (Not flashing).

I already enabled Bit swap and SRA.

 

The ISP is providing a router/modem for a monthly fee, and also you can't switch it to bridge mode.

With their Router/Modem you can barely open ports, and you can't access all the other settings.

That's is why i prefer my own equipment.
