Hi,

I recently bought TL-WA850RE and have installed it in the different ways possible but when using the EXT wifi it slows down both the download and upload speed.

Is it a hardware issue, as I have rebooted it, reinstalled it and factory reset the extender but the issue remains.

Could TP-Link send a new one as it seems the issue lays with the hardware of the extender.

All leds are solid light with strong connectivity.

As you can see the speed is incredible slow on the EXT wifi.

thank you for testing speed and share the speed test result, the speed does look like quite abnormal.

1> For TL-WA850RE (EU) V7, try to update the latest firmware :

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-wa850re/#Firmware

2> Confirm the router's 2.4Ghz Wifi speed is fine . From the pic, you were testing router's 5Ghz wifi, you could double check 2.4Ghz

2> locate the range extender in the same room as router and see the speed of extender looks normal

If still the same, it is recommended to reach the retailer or the local support to check the device warranty.
