Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version: V16
Firmware Version: 1.1.5

Hello, I just got the 3 packs Deco XE5300 and wondering if I can mix wire and wireless backhaul. So it should look like

Gateway - Deco1 wire to Deco2 and Deco3 will be using wireless backhaul.

Will this improve the speed and better than just use all wireless backhaul?

Thank you!

Wired backup is better than wireless backup, in practically all home networks. You can mix wired and wireless backup. Also, see this FAQ for Deco backup (called backhaul) topics: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

>Gateway - Deco1 wire to Deco2 and Deco3

It is also safe to unplug Ethernet cable between Deco1 and Deco2, to see if wireless backhaul between them works better. Plug Ethernet cable back and Deco2 should instantly and seamlessly switch back to Ethernet backhaul.
