Media Share doesn't index all files

hi all,
I have found a large number of my pics files are not visible in the media server, though they are there if I look at it as a file share.
all the file are in the HDD in NTFS FS attached to the usb 3 port of the xtp link router (VC420-G3v)
Everything is visible via the SMB shares and the HTTP interface, it is just the DNLA server that doesn't show everything.
any suggestions?
