Model: Deco   Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V16
Firmware Version: Deco X50-PoE(US)_V1.6_1.0.0 Build 20220731 (published 2022-09-05)

I just bought a X50-POE pack to replace my prior network.  I am getting prepared for the DECO BE95 which will be the backbone for my planned network.  Now the issue. I  was starting with the X50-POE's for a few months.  I set up the network and kept the defaults.  I am having a major issue with my laptops.  I have a 2 Gig connection coming in from my fiber provider (hence why I want the BE95).  It is going into the main X50-POE.  I have a TP-Link 2.5GB POE switch to power and provide the backhaul for the other X50-POE devices.

When I connect my iOS devices like iPhone 14 Pro Max or my iPad 11 Pro, I get great speeds wirelessly both up and down (i.e. 500+ Mbps both up/down).  When I connect my laptops (MS SurfaceBook2) via wireless (Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 adapter), the download speed is awful (i.e. less than 1 Mbps).  The upload speed is great though (i.e. close to 500 Mbps).  If I connect a MS USB-C to Ethernet adapter, I get the exact same results where the download speed is plain awful and upload is even higher than wireless which is expected.  I have no other devices connected except my computer and iPhone.  I have even disconnect the iPhone and used only the laptop to ensure there are no interractions.

There is something wrong.  With my other network, this computer would connect wirelessly at 400+Mbps up/down.  The card is fine in the laptop.  It has something to do with the Deco equipment alone.

Any ideas on troubleshooting this?  It is unusable since I can't get it connected into my Network with TP-LINK switches and have it give any speed that is usable.  I need to resolve this simple connection first before introducing this equipment.

@BuckleyBeagle Hi, welcome to the community.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

If you are still having the same issue, please refer to the following suggestions:

1. Turn off "Mesh Technology" for MS SurfaceBook2 on the Deco APP.

2. Temporarily disable "Fast Roaming" on Deco APP>More>Advanced.

3. If it is still the same, please help me check the current link speed on Deco:

 Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
