Hi everyone,

 

I have a problem with the RE705x EU/1.0 extender.

 

I manually updated the firmware with this version RE705X(EU)_V1_1.0.9 Build 20221108, downloaded from https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/re705x/#Firmware because it didn't appear as an automatic update.
The installation was successful but now the extender no longer connects to the internet. I think the problem is with the above firmware.

 

- Does the re705x work for any of you with the new firmware?
- Is it possible to go back to the previous firmware?
I also reset to factory data but the firmware remains the latest and not working.

Hi, May I know the model number of your main router?

Could you please have a look at this link? Is the issue similar to this one(RE700x):

[Solution]RE700X does not connect to the Internet after updating to 1.0.9

 

If yes, could you please email support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:

1. Do the 2.4ghz and 5ghz still light up on RE705x but it is no internet when connected to RE700x?

2. Have you set up any advanced settings on the main router, such as MAC filtering and Access control:https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/501914

3. Could you please send me the following pictures:

  • A screenshot of the settings status page.
  • A screenshot of the Settings>Network Settings

  @Rocknroll I have the same issue. I had to downgrade to 1.0.0 and do factory reset to make it work again.

Have you found the reason of the issue?
