New firmware Deco X60 v2
Hi! It's been over two years since the last firmware update on the X60 v2. Will there be any update or are you done updating it?

I advise anyone before buying a TP link Deco product is to look at the products support page , the one that lists the firmware currently available and check if new features are being added ( connection preference- basic feature to be honest) etc or even the last time the device received an update.
Even more confusing is the fact that you can have the same product sold under the same name but can have different hardware versions 1.0, 2.0 which potentially has different features.
TP link are very very slow at firmware updates on still very current products.

Good afternoon,
X60 - V3 has received three updates this year (2023) and V2, V1 are still on the firmware of 2021.
V3 has the new features. Why V2 is not included? Or is the hardware of V2 that different from V3.
Maybe a mistake to have bought these X60, i should have kept my M9 setup. At least they get updates.

I have had the 3 pack M9s in a 3 Storey property with 25 devices running Pretty much perfectly. Only recent drawback for my that i have upgraded to 900/900mbs internet so only maxing out about 400-500mbs ( main deco) on wireless. The recent update that added Deco and band preference for devices was perfect as i used to have devices connecting to far side of the house.
Did try the 3 pack XE75 Pro but the firmware was very buggy so returned to amazon, I see the XE75 v1 have had the deco preference update so looking for a good deal on those.

Just had it confirmed by customer service that R&D has declared X60v2 end of life.
no new features anymore.
only firmware updates will be for security issues.
We are out of luck and money on our expensive devices.
I will be spending my money at other brands from now on and advise against buying from TP link.
