XE75 not Gigabyte speeds
XE75 not Gigabyte speeds
Hello,
I have a 1 Gbps connection and deco XE75 mesh routers. With wifi on my iphone 13 pro i come to 650mbit speeds. (with my new macbook air m2 even slower around 359mbit)
The main XE75 is wired with an 1 meter FTP 7 cable and is sitting wide open in the room. The speedtest is done 3 meters from the XE75 so there should be not many interference. i recently updated my isp speed from 600mbit to 1gbps and the speeds are almost the same. I disabled QOS and it makes no differance.
Wired my xbox series x and ps5 get the same speeds. While with xbox and ps5 wired directly to the isp modem i get 1gbps easy.
changed the utp/ftp cable from isp modem to deco makes no difference.
Anybody any idea how this is possible?

I've just got 3x XE75s and I'm disappointed. Not able to get speeds above 500Mb - the Virgin Superhub 5 was delivering that before.
It's on AP setting and Superhub has wifi turned off.
Worst thing is that the connection in the garden is worse than ever - what a waste of £330

Just saw this reply,
I ended up changing the TP link XE75 3 pack for the Asus XT9 two pack and single extra XT8. I can get 700+ over wireless XT9 node in my loft conversion. Also allows manual channel selection and USB Media sharing ( have a 4tb HDD with films via DNLA) Was more than happy with the Deco M9 plus 3 pack i have on standard copper fibre ( BT 70mb) but upgrading to superfast i think TP links implementation of DFS , not being reliably able to use the 160 band without the stupid strikes.
Being able to manually select wifi channels for 2.4 GHz , 5 GHz and the actual wireless backhaul gives you scope to find the channels that work for where you are located region. Also the Wifi 6E is generally not worth it as it seems to have slightly lesser range than standard Wifi 6 which is still very fast when working well.
Hopefully this setup will last me until Wifi 7 get mature enough to invest in.
