I was suffering from sudden speed drop in my router.I contacted with a tp-link engineer.He updated my router with a beta firmware named c80v2-up-noboot_2023-02-27_17.00.23.bin. There is a new firmware available in my router.So my question is should I update my router with the new firmware or should I stick to the beta one?

Hi,

 

So, the build date of the beta firmware is 2023-02-27 and the build date of firmware version 1.12.10 is 2023-02-08, therefore it was "built" 19 days earlier.

 

If the engineer implemented a specific fix for your particullar problem in that beta firmware, then would likely lose that fix if you update to the regular firmware version 1.12.10.

 

By the way, did that beta firmware solve the sudden speed drop problem?

  @woozle Yes ,my issue was fixed by the beta firmware.
