I am using TP-link td-w8970 which I purchased recently around 3 days ago it is working seamlessly and flawlessly so far. I would like to request to add support for this model to work with tp-link tether app currently td-w8970 is not supported by the tether app. The app would be really useful if more routers compatible. i am hoping tp-link would pump up by providing a new firmware update for the router adding tether app support

FYI, the WDR4900 last firmware uses Tether but I've been obliged to roll back to the preceeding...

Before to add new useless functionnalities, TP-Link would be more efficient in improving the basics and fixing the bugs...

I guess so the app is available for iOS and Android have a look here.

Cannot disagree on what you said there are some minor and major issues which are being faced by existing users. I hope they will try to correct as much as they can in future and in quick time than taking ages to release firmware updates and stuff to correct minor issues.
