Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I have a simple setup: 1 Vodafone modem and 2 Deco X20.

I did my first configuration in November 2022 and it was working normally.

However, I noticed my internet was slowing down so I did the normal procedure to reset the modem but didn't work.

Both of my Decos have the green light but in the app, the second one (slave) was failing with the message "Office is offline".

So my nightmare began, I reset everything I have a lot of IoT devices (18 in total) so I lost almost 1 day replugging everything but the second Deco doesn't stay online for more than 10min. If I turn it off and turn it on and it goes like :

1. yellow light, starting up
2. blinking red light
3. yellow light again
4. green light, everything works beautifully
5. *....wait for 10 minutes...*
6. *keep the green light but the app shows fail and the deco is offline again*

The main Deco is normal, and working perfectly!

Hi, is there any chance that you could connect the second Deco X20 via an Ethernet cable to the main Deco X20 to see whether it could maintain a long connection?

  • If an Ethernet cable connection is not possible, it is also suggested to move the Deco X20 closer to the main X20 to see whether it could make any difference.

 

 Since the LED on the hardware is still green, in case it was a false alarm on the Deco APP, would you still get internet when you are next to this satellite X20?

I did have an Ethernet cable connection, I tested following the steps:
- Remove the satellite X20

- Reset the satellite X20

- add the satellite 

- I did connect through wifi

- plug the Ethernet cable

- it worked for 5min then back to this green light and failed status
