Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.00.9.1

Hi, I have IPv6 only set as my PDF type. Yet when i type in google what's my IP it still gives me a IPv4 address. I understand it's not practical to shut off IPv4 completely but for educational purposes how can i force IPv6 to be the only ip type running.

I have attached a screenshot if that helps in case i have done something wrong.

Hi,

Have you verified that your mobile carrier and SIM card actually supports IPv6?

If you select PDP Type "IPv4 & IPv6" and then go to the status page on the "Basic" tab do you see IPv4 and IPv6 addresses displayed for the Internet connection or only IPv4 addresses?

@woozle Hi Ive added a screenshot, It looks like it only shows my IPv6 address when i set the PDP type to IPv4/IPv6 dual stack.

IPv4 works fine if i go back to the default EE profile. My sim card is relatively new only 3 years old and is 5G compatible.

If your MR600 only acquires a IPv6 address and "IPv6 Tunnel" is switched off, but Google shows your public IP address to be a IPv4 address, then perhaps it's something your mobile carrier does on their side (e.g. for compatibility reasons).

@woozle Google shows my public address as IPv6 at first but if i click onto a website it shows my IPv6 and IPv4 when i just want my IPv6 to be active.

I think given that your router's Internet connection doesn't have an IPv4 address assigned to it (as per the screenshot you posted) whatever IPv4 address the websites see must be the result of something that your mobile carrier does on their side and hence can't be controlled by you.
