Update 1.2.6 I installed yesterday for my XE75 (V1) did nothing. Still limited connectivity and frequent dropouts on the main unit.

Still having major issues with V2 XE75.  Support has been the run around with no solution.  Same steps to troubleshoot with no real resolution.  Wired is perfect, even off the Deco but wireless is 1/4 the speed down and about half up.  V2 XE is not able to run the new "fixed" firmware.  Anyone having the same issue?

  @Cherk947

Hi, nice to see you again.

Since this post started with Deco XE75 Pro V1, the fixed firmware shared here is not suitable for Deco XE75 v2. Actually, I haven't seen much feedback on the new firmware of XE75 V2 yet. mainly on XE75 v1.

And I see your case has been forwarded to the engineers before but it only mentioned the disconnection issue.

Could you please start a new thread or send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with some details about the slow wireless speed issue on Deco XE75 v2?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

What should be the light colour on the XE75 Pro when following How to use firmware recovery if the Deco become brick? Are both methods available for this model? I'm trying method 2 and mine becomes solid green, but I'm unable to access 192.168.0.1 so I'm not sure if solid green is the colour for recovery mode.

  @David-TP Would you be able to answer my question about firmware recovery? I'm trying to downgrade my firmware from the buggy firmware.

+1 on this for my (non-pro) XE75. I've tried the 1.2.6 beta firmware on it, but the quality is still extremely degraded, to the degree that I consider it unusable. Considering returning it under warranty soon, since it's essentially been bricked by the firmware updates.

  @nonfatalexec

Hi, sorry and the LED lights should become flashing green, like Deco X90 when Deco XE75 pro gets into firmware recovery mode.

You could send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com if you still had a problem.

By the way, I reviewed your previous replies and they are more about Deco X90 V1 which the reported issue in CA versions has been fixed on the latest 1.2.3 firmware. It would also be highly appreciated if you could add some details in the email about what happened on Deco XE75 Pro with the latest firmware.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

I am having similar connectivity issues with XE75 (1.2.5 Build 20230530 Rel 46610)

After some testing I was able to identify that the problem is only for 5GHz network. Any device connected to 5GHz network experiences disconnects or loses just internet connectivity while remains connected to the network.

Other things I tried, but the they did not resolve the issue

  • Changing 5GHz channel width from 160 to 80
  • Disabling Fast Roaming
  • Disabling Beamforming
  • Disabling / Changing Mode on OFDMA/MU-MIMO

As a workaround I have disabled the 5GHz channel and I am using only 2.4GHz. With 2.4GHz everything works smoothly. Not sure if anybody else tried this but it can be a temporary solution until the new firmware release.

The 1.2.6 Firmware is not not yet available to me through the App, I will try to manually install it later today.

Hi there, did you managed to find out what happened. You described exactly what happened to mine (Deco X55 pro), I cannot connect to the 5GHz band sometimes but the 2.4GHz works fine.
