Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

To connect I chose VDSL with Dynamic IP I did not have an option to enter my Optus Username and Password.

I am now connected to the Internet on my desktop  via my Ethernet connection BUT although the WIFI light is showing on the modem and my devices can see the modem there is no internet connection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  @Obergius

What is the WAN connection type provided by your ISP? If username and password is required, it is usually PPPoE instead of Dynamic IP.

So please contact your ISP to confirm if all the configurations are correct. If there is still any problem, please share with us the screenshot of whole Advanced->Status page.
