Hi

 

One of my Deco X60 units disconnected from the mesh network over a month ago. 

I have 4 Deco X60's all the same version with the latest firmware installed (Installed as part of the regular update from the App)

It is possible to connect to the Deco unit through the Wifi however the SSID is incorrect.

 

The SSID is not what it should be:

 - i.e. Deco_<<Last 4 characters of the MAC address>>

 - The SSID is: Deco_25:00

 

When it is reset, it will flash blue but it is not being picked up by the app when trying to add using the app.

 

I've tried all suggested solutions with no change.

 - reset deco unit

 - Connect to main deco with ethernet cable

 - update firmware

etc

- e.g. https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2239/

 

Is there anything else I can do or should I be looking for a replacement unit from TP-Link ?

Hi, could you please leave me a message with the MAC address of the problematic Deco?

 

And have you tried to set up this Deco as the main Deco to see whether it could be used to create a new Mesh network?

I've sent the details to you in the private message.

Following the steps in the app, it is not possible to set this deco unit up as the main deco in a new mesh network.

Hi, Thank you very much for the message.

After checking with the engineers, they confirmed it was a hardware issue with your Deco X60 V2. It is suggested to contact the local retailer to ask for warranty service.

Could you please leave me a message with the MAC address and SN number of your Deco X60?

How long have you had the Deco and did this issue start recently?

 

For the issue mentioned here:

After resetting, even though the LED was blinking blue,  Deco APP failed to find the Deco when setting it as the main Deco, or adding it as a satellite Deco. And the current default SSID of this Deco is Deco_25:00 on the smartphone. It is very likely to be a hardware issue.
