Model: Deco X55
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We have a number of WPA4220 Kits (with AV-600) around the house, and whilst they do work, they are constantly having to be turned off and back on again to re-establish the connection to the internet. We also have a couple that don't work anywhere near as well as they should speedwise presumably because they are on a different electrical circuit to the master plug that directly connects to our broadband modem/router. So, we are thinking that maybe adding a few Deco X55s might improve the situation, but can these two TP-Link products work together, or would we need to completely replace our AV-600 and WPA4220 kits with X55s?

  @HavingFun

Hi, Did you also want Deco X55 to work as an Access Point and keep the main router as the DHCP server/gateway?

Deco X55 could not wirelessly connect to WPA4220, and vice versa.

The possible network topology would be:

ISP router---4010~~~4220---<cable>---main Deco X55

or ISP router---main X55--<cable>---4010~~~4220

Thank you very much.

best regards.
