Archer AX1500 (hw. AX12 v1.0) periodically drops WiFi connections in AP mode
I have purchased this router a few days ago. Updated the firmware to the latest version. Did a HW reset, reconfigured. I set it up to run in AP mode, as I already have an Internet router which does FW, NAT, Port Forwarding, etc... The GbEth port of hte internet router (LINKSYS WRT1200AC) is plugged into the WAN GbEthernet port of AX1500 operating in AP mode (I have already tried plugging it to the LAN port of AX1500, but the problem still remained.) The problem is that AX1500 randomly drops WiFi connections and clients (eg. SAMSUNG phones and tablets running latest version of Android, and other notebooks) are having difficulties reassociating. For example, Android devices report error when I try to force reconnection.
Any idea what might be wrong?

@Tschabha @Sunshine just to let you know, after the beta firmware the drops in AP mode were fixed, but the 5GHz does not have the maximum performance, connected via cable to the AX12 in AP mode I can get the full 400Mbps from my ISP, but from the 5GHz wifi connection I reach half of the speed, like 200Mbps, 250Mbps, near to the router with any device, like laptops, iphone and so on.
Internet <- cable -> ISP device <- cable -> AX12-AP-Mode <-- 5GHz Wifi --> devices
This reported problem of drop in speed is what's holding me back from updating to beta software and putting my 3 newly bought AX12 to use - currently they just sit on the shelf awaiting official firmware update with the fix included.
When you (MarceloAS and GNNB) reports drop in speed - is this compared to speeds obtained on the AX12 before updating with beta firmware? Or only based on what you were expecting to get with a new Wifi AP? Did you check the channel width is wide enough to achieve the expected bandwidth?
Sincerely,
Allan

O que mais incomoda no momento agora é o tempo sem uma solução do problema. Estamos a quase 3 meses sem resolver, a espera de uma atualização. É muito tempo. Bom para rever de qual empresa comprar o próximo roteador.

I have had the same issue with my AX12 in AP mode. The Wifi in 5Ghz channel is constantly dropping. Then I proceeded to install the beta software found in this thread. Right now everything is working without issues. I also noticed a small bump in speed :) Will monitor for a little while longer to see if the issue has been resolved completely
