DECO X55 and Samsung Smart TV. Disconnects when TV is powered off
DECO X55 and Samsung Smart TV. Disconnects when TV is powered off
Just installed the Dec X55 last week.
Everyhting is zippy and fast and much better than my older Google mesh WiFi.
But, I have noticed that my samsung Smart TV loses conenction tot he woreless network when it is powered off.
To confirm that it was the DecoX55, I re-connected my old Google Mesh Wifi and observed the behavior of my SMart TV. It stayed conencted when powered off.
Is this a known issue?
To get the connection back I have to reset my Netwrk Settings on my Smart TV and then it find the wifi SSID and lets me connect with the password.
HELP !!!!

Hi, welcome to the community.
I think it is normal for Samsung TV to be disconnected when it is powered off since it has lost power. Or the other situation would be the TV is disconnected from wifi when it is in standby mode.
So I wonder whether you are trying to say after the power is restored, it would not reconnect to WiFi, remained disconnected and you have to reset the Network Settings and reconnect to Deco?
And here are some general suggestions for your reference:
1. Please change the WAN DNS on Deco to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4.---How to change DNS server settings on my Deco
2. Reserve the IP address on the Deco APP for the Samsung TV.---How to configure Address Reservation on the Deco
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Setting static DNS and address reservation did not work.
Tried my TV this morning and same issue.
It lost the WiFi connection and I had to reset it.
What else can I try?

@Spursrule Smart TV will obviously lose wi-fi connection when it's powered off.
What are you trying to achieve exactly?

I DID NOT have this issue with my old Google wifi mesh.
This has only started happening with this Deco mesh system.
Does everyoen that have a Smrt TV leave it on 24 hours a day/365 days a week?

I would recommend to bring Satellite Deco close to Smart TV and link then both with Ethernet cable. Depending on TV brand and model, it may switch to wired link automatically or you may need to disable WiFi in Smart TV to force it use Ethernet.

I am retuning this POS to amazon
What a complete waste of time and money
I am going back to my Google Mesh wifi.
It may be slow but it never had weird issues like this POS.

i am also experiencing the same problem. I never had connectivity issues with my samsung and wireless prior to switching to deco mesh 55 system.

Having same issue, using deco x50, whenever I turn on the TV, its not connected to the wireless network (never had this issue before switching to deco), sometimes it will connect automatically, sometimes I will have to do it manually or unplugging the tv and turning it on again, and will connect immediately.
