OpenVPN TLS Version error
OpenVPN TLS Version error
I recently bought an Archer VR2100 and set up the OpenVPN server on it, so I can access my home network when I am out of home. I downloaded the OpenVPN client for my Macbook Air and installed the configuration file. I get an error on the OpenVPN client saying that "Authentication Failed Server TLS Version too low". What is going wrong? Thanks.

@Sunshine I have the same problem with an Archer MR600 V1 router. I update to the latest firmware version 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n
Going to the TPlink site I can't find any other firmware available
Have you by any chance released a firmware that fixes this security flaw?
Thank you

Hi, there is no firmware for MR600 V1 to solve this issue now, please try the solution 2 in this thread first: 'Authentication failed, Server TLS version is too low' appears when connecting OpenVPN of DSL Modem

I'm afraid this solution doesn't work. There is no option on my OpenVPN Client (v 3.4.6) to set the Minimum TLS version.

Hi, one user mentioned that 3.4.2 version is different as well, could you please check if your 3.4.6 is the same as 3.4.2?

Hi @Sunshine,
I installed the beta version, but I'm facing connectivity issues with multiple retries in the logs. Any insights on when the production version will be released? Currently using a Raspberry Pi as an OpenVPN Server; direct modem connection would be beneficial.
Appreciate your assistance.

@Sunshine What about the older versions? C3150, will the firmware be updated for those too, or should I send it for recycling, while the router still functions as it should except for TLS issue's when using VPN.
Lowering securiity in the app is a no go.

@IanDo Check OpenVPN Version Compatibility! it can create that issue too, or try another VPN, I recommend using the Turbo VPN app android, you can download it from app store called Null48. if you still see the same issue, try to contact support. hope that helps you out.
