Model: TL-WR841N
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Good evening,

I`m currently using an TP-Link TL-WR841N N300 in Range Extender Mode and have 2 devices connected with it via cable. Because of its slow LAN Ports I bought a faster TP-Link Archer AX55 Wi-Fi 6 Router just to find out it doesn't support Range Extender Mode.

Now I am looking for a 5 GHZ Router option which can wirelessly connect to my Main Router and has Gigabit Lan Ports included.

What's the best solution guys? Please Help.

(preferred with just 1 device, no switch, repeater combo...)

Thank you in advance!

Thomas

  @ThomasNr123

Hi,

Does the router you are connecting to support any kind of "Mesh" technology that allows another Mesh router of the same technology to be connected with it to form one seamless Mesh network?

If yes, then that would be a good and clean solution.

Besides that, some of TP-Link's lower end routers like the C80 or C64 support "WDS Bridging", which is similar to Range Extender mode, but apparently it's not guaranteed to work for everyone (i.e. some users couldn't get it to work properly).
