Hi there, i'm fairly new to the deco mesh system and i would like some advice on how to make sure i have set the deco system up right with my sky router.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Usually, as long as the whole Deco Mesh system can get internet service, the network configuration is correct. Besides, there are some small tips that might help optimize the network layout:

1. Since Deco M4 is also a WiFi router as the Sky router,  if you could put the Sky router into bridge mode, there will be only one DHCP server left and all the devices will be under the same IP range.

  • But if there are some features on the Sky router that could not be disabled, like VOIP, you could consider setting Deco into AP mode and let Sky be the only DHCP router:

  @David-TP Hi David thank you for getting back to me I would like to add that I live in a fiber optic area and that I have tried setting up the system with it connected to the BT modem and it doesn't work the only way I can get it to work is by connecting the system through the sky hub

  @David-TP I was just wondering if that is the correct setup where i have to conect the mesh system to the sky box insted of the modem or the other way round
