Model: Deco X20  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20230612 Rel. 57820

I purchased 3x Deco X20 devices and all of these are V2.0 running firmware 1.2.0 Build 20230612 Rel. 57820 ( With all new features)

I then added 1x new Deco X20 device. This device is the same but shows as hardware version V3.0

I have updated firmware but the new device runs an older version of firmware (1.0.9 Build 20230530 Rel. 57114) even though it is a newer hardware version.

This means that the newer features such as instructing a client device to use a specific node are no longer available to me. How can I update my new X20 node to the latest firmware?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco X20 V3 also has a similar firmware 1.1.0 which was released a week ago. If the Deco APP is unable to detect this version, you could download the firmware here and manually update it via the web management page:

Deco X20(EU)_V3_1.1.0 Build 20230725

  @David-TP Thanks so much for the quick response and thank you for confirmation that I can apply this manually.

I am at the management webUI and can see the firmware upgrade options within. I am just a little hesitant to apply the firmware as there appears to be no way to target only the Deco unit which requires this update. Can you confirm that the system is intelligent to recognize which units it should update without causing issues to the other units?

@Mike-Reub3ns Is the update available in Deco app now? In the Web UI, does it let you select the V3 model particularly?

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it
