Hi, 

 

I just bought 4 nodes of XE75PRO to replace my old Orbi routers few days ago. It's been a major disappointed to find it has a a significant problem. 

The main problem is every devices connected to 2.4GHz either has no connectivity or superslow speed (0.5-4mbps download speed, yes that's correct). 5Ghz connection be able to get 190-200mpbs download speed. This problem happen even though I'm sitting 1 feet in front of the router. 

 

What make it worst is my new iPhone 14 Pro, 13Pro, Google Nest Home can't connect to 5Ghz wifi no matter how many times I tried it. It just unable to connect to it. 

I switch on and off beamforming, fast roaming, SIP ALG, do network optimization (change channel), restart router, reset network setting on iPhone, upgrade latest firmware, restart iPhone, even open my casing in case something it interfere with the WIFI.

This things just doesn't work!!! Now my whole house are mad at me because of this wifi chaos. 

 

I'm in router mode where my modem connected directly to Deco router via ethernet. 

 

Can someone help me with this issues

  @Polohoko are you running firmware version 1.2.3? How big is your house? Have you tried running only 1 or 2 nodes?

  @tpnick I'm running firmware 1.2.2. I just check it a min ago with the app, and it says that the latest firmware. Is there any 1.2.3?

My house is 3 stories, and each around 3000 square feet. Yes, I tried to use 2 nodes, 3 nodes, and 4 nodes. Same problem.

  @Polohoko you'll need to use the web interface on the Deco to apply this firmware if it's not yet available through the app.

  @tpnick according to label my hardware version is V2.6, your firmware is not compatible for that version

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

You already have the latest firmware version 1.2.2 Build 20230601 Rel. 66771 for Deco XE75 Pro_V2.

As for the 2.4 GHz issue, may I know how many 2.4 GHz you have connected to Deco?

Please go to Deco APP>More>Network Optimization. Then optimize the network once.

  • Please also help me check what is the current 2.4 GHz channel.

 Since the 1.2.2 firmware has added an IOT network under Deco APP>More>IOT network, could you please try to disable the 2.4 GHz under the main network, then enable IOT for 2.4 GHz only to see whether there would be any improvement?

 

For the 5 GHz issues on iPhones and Google Nest Home, would there be any error messages when they failed to connect to the main Network( please still leave 2.4 GHz disabled on the main network)?

Please also go to Deco APP>More>Advanced to see whether there is an OFDMA/MU-MIMO switch here. If there is, please disable it as well.
