Hi everyone.

This is my situation:

- FTTH Fiber

- A Tp-link Archer AX10 Fw 1.3.9 Build 20230728 Rel. 45716 with all WiFi disable (primary and guest), OneMesh disable and i use only as a modem, the is configured to forward everything in dmz to my Deco X60 system i use as router to manage my network

- 3 Deco X60 F2 1.5.1 Build 20210204 Rel. 50164 (set as router Wi-Fi) that are placed in 3 different floors and all are connected by lan cable, WiFi enable in both 5 and 2.4 GHz, guest WiFi disabled

- some old devices that works only in 2.4 GHz

 

The problem is that the Deco in the middle floor looses the 2.4GHz network. When i restart all Decos or i do a network optimization the 2.4 band is visible for about a minute (i can see with my WiFi scanner on pc or mac) but then disappear and all my old devices disconnect from network.

I had this problem about2 months ago, then no problems at all, and now i have the problem again. Previus time i resolved disabling the OneMesh feature in the AX10, but now i don't know what do do.

I suppose is something related to frequency interferences but is not possible to manually assign the channel to the Deco.

 

Any idea?

Did only one Deco X60 out of three lose the 2.4 GHz signal?

Have you tried to factory reset this unit before to see whether it helped?

Could you please enable a guest network for 2.4 GHz only with a new SSID to see whether the same issue continued?

By the way, how long have you had Deco X60? Did the issue start recently?

About your questions:

- Did only one Deco X60 out of three lose the 2.4 GHz signal?

Yes, the one in the middle, i also tried to exchange it with the other two but is the same

- Have you tried to factory reset this unit before to see whether it helped?

No, yesterday i did a restart from web (not app) and magically restart to work in another channel

- Could you please enable a guest network for 2.4 GHz only with a new SSID to see whether the same issue continued?

I'll do a try when i'll have the problem again

- By the way, how long have you had Deco X60? Did the issue start recently?

i have these X&0 since more or less 1.5 years and the problem started some months ago (2-3 months ago)

 

Seems like the Deco not always is able to choose the right channel for 2.4 frequency.

Is there no way to select or force a channel mannually?

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

Do you still remember the previous channel on 2.4 GHz when some old devices were unable to detect the 2.4 GHz signal?

I did receive feedback before that some smart devices did not support channels 12,13 on 2.4GHz. I wonder whether you might have the same issue here.

And I am afraid that Deco does not support changing wireless channels yet. The feature is in discussion and hasn't reached a final agreement yet.

Hello

 

I don't remember exactly but i think was something like 2+1 or 4+1 but no 12 or 13.

The problem is that after a minute the 2.4 channel drops completely from the list of available wifi: at the beginning the devices are able to connect but after a while the connection itself disappear.

 

About the ability to choose manually the channel: imho, considering the cost of the product, is a MUST to have. Competitors give that choice in products very cheaper than Deco (considering also that the last fw version of the Deco is 2021...)

Hi, I have exactly the same issue.

 

I have created a guest wifi 2.4 Ghz with another SSID name, and I have activated IoT network too with different SSID name.

Those 2 SSID appear and drop from the Wifi list, and my devices can't connect to them...

Yesterday i installed the new fw version 1.5.2 Build 20230908 Rel . 32942 but the situation is the same. When i do network optimization the 2.4GHz is putted in channel 9 and after a while diisappear.
