No if you have the Deco setup already in Router mode, then switching to Access Point Mode will keep the WiFi settings and just disable the router function.
It takes around 2-3 mins to switch over, but there is no new network to switch too.
Say you have a WiFi called HOME once you switch to AP mode the HOME ssid will still appear and your devices will connect to it as usual, just now they will pull an address from your ISP router and not the Deco itself.
