Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 20230829-rel65811

I've been having the same problem as the others in this thread: I cannot change the 5 ghz wifi channel without it permanently reverting back to 36. All of my neighbours, aside from one, are also on channel 36, so I would like to change to a DFS channel as the performance is quite poor in some rooms. I've another Huawei Router (AX3000) and works fine on every DFS channel.

It may also be useful to note that I do not live nearby a radar centre or airport.

Assuming that the only solution to this issue is the beta firmware, I would therefore very much appreciate it if you @Kevin_Z   were able to send me the beta firmware as well.

Thanks in advance.

@Dooooo Thanks for helping provide valuable suggestions on this DFS channel inquiry.

@celdae123 We do see some others were reporting similar issues regarding the DFS channel reverting back to 36 on AX50 and our developers provided a beta firmware to resolve this.

I will share with you the beta firmware via private message, please check it later.

  @celdae123 Why is the DFS channel necessary? Why not choose other non-DFS channels outside from channel 36? As you can see

40-48, 149-165 is OK.

How about change it to 80MHz and try the other 2 non-DFS channel: UNII-1 and UNII3 ?

  @celdae123

Working as it should serve in 160MHz? There are TWO 80 channels for choice. Why do you stick to 160MHz? better signal or coverage?

  @Dooooo

Neither, speed. There is a ton pages on the forum about this issue, is a known bug of this model. I need the custom firmware that @kevin_z kindly provides. As I stated I have a Huawei that works just fine and sticks to 160mhz, I need the TPLink to do the same and not being rebooted every 2 days to go back to the choosen channel.

  @celdae123

"I'm facing the same WiFi channel issue too. Switching to a DFS channel could improve performance, especially since my other Huawei lrouter on DFS libre works fine. I'm not close to any radar center or airport, so that's not a concern. If the beta firmware is the solution,
